North Idaho Centennial: short westward return from Riverstone
Coeur d’Alene
Up to 2 miles return · Out-and-back
Paved shared-use main trail; road sections excluded
On the signed main Centennial Trail head west toward the Atlas / Post Falls direction, staying on the solid shared-use paved route shown on the foundation map. Turn at one outward mile or before the first roadway, painted bike lane, uncertain junction, barrier or uncomfortable slope; retrace to the park connection. Do not head downtown, close a river loop, or add Prairie Trail mileage.
Route of the Hiawatha: seasonal tunnel-and-trestle ride
Mullan
About 16.7 miles · One way plus shuttle and tunnel return
Improved gravel rail-trail with tunnel and bridge decks
Closed for the season. Plan a future-season ride only after the operator confirms reopening. In the operating season, ride from East Portal through the St. Paul Pass tunnel and down the main rail trail to Pearson. Take the paid shuttle to Roland and ride back through the long tunnel to East Portal. Arrange tickets, shuttle and suitable equipment first.
Seasonal Route of the Hiawatha is closed as reviewed October 21, 2026. Confirm a future opening and shuttle schedule before travel.
Stoddard Pathway — north Greenhurst public lot: short bicycle return
Nampa
Up to 1 mile return · Out-and-back

Walk any initial lot or access-drive interface. Do not use a road or private-property detour.

Start at Springston Trailhead and follow the main paved trail east to Gray’s Meadow wayside, then return the same way for about 4.8 miles. Twin Falls
3.2 mi · Out and back
Asphalt main path along the canyon rim.
Follow the main paved Canyon Rim Trail west from the Twin Falls Visitor Center to Federation Point, then return the same way. Allow about 3.2 miles, plus the walked approach from your parking space.
