State research tracker

Latest landmark section review: October 22, 2026. Each state's initial selection is complete; this review adds prominent rides and records candidates still needing access or course evidence.

50 / 50States reviewed
47New outings added
0Landmark candidates without a guide

The initial all-state pass added 40 outings. The eight-candidate follow-up added five and confirmed Arizona’s existing Chaparral guide. The October 22 review added short Tanglefoot and Mission Reach returns, bringing these maintenance passes to 47 additions. Longer Tanglefoot routes and the Mission Reach work areas remain on the maintenance lists; these short guides do not declare either entire corridor open. The southern Indian Bend Wash path remains closed through the end of October; the existing Chaparral outing is separate. Cross-state outings appear under both relevant states and only once in the finder. Hiawatha is a future-season planning guide and is currently closed for the season.

Guide counts below describe the national research selection, including maintenance additions. The finder also includes the original Tennessee collection. These are dependable initial guides, not exhaustive inventories or field inspections. The initial nationwide guide is approved for publication and will continue to be maintained.

    Launch readiness

    Live on joyridersusa.com · reviewed 2026-10-22

The landmark queue and public-launch checks are separate. Zero landmark candidates without a guide does not mean the website is ready to publish.

Published October 22, 2026 with Jimmy’s approval after owner phone testing, hosted responsive and 200% zoom checks, and a contact test received in his main inbox. Both USA hostnames serve the approved release over HTTPS. The 424-card initial guide covers all 50 states and will continue to receive corrections and additions. Tennessee remains separate.

    1. Finder and ride controls — Passed locally

City keyboard selection, nearby ordering, state/length filtering, inline guides, matching map popups and sharing reviewed. Automated regressions cover all 50 states, comparisons, backup validation and separate USA personal storage. No real personal ride records were edited.

    2. Failure handling and copy — Fixed and tested

Fixed singular-mile labels and literal HTML entities in invitation text. Added an announced notice when map background tiles fail. Mocked tests cover missing map library, tile failure/recovery, denied storage and seven contact-form outcomes; no external test message was sent. Fit All now closes the previous popup so it cannot remain clipped after reframing. Removed unused duplicated fields from the startup payload; complete guide text is retained and tested.

    3. Map precision and final arrival checks — Targeted map review complete

Alphabetical review: 207 of the initial 207 city-reference cards have reviewed access-area references and live Directions destination checks; 0 remain. Separate parking-location refinements: 0 open, 1 resolved. See the map-accuracy tracker for evidence and limitations. Other facility/address approaches receive normal access maintenance. Markers remain approximate planning references, not surveyed parking stalls, field inspections or guarantees of current driving access.

    4. Final operating and publication review — Initial nationwide publication approved

396 national drafts cover all 50 states; their recorded review dates are October 10–22. Bounded October 22 checks retained current seasonal/construction cautions. This pass did not freshly inspect every source, link, fee or arrival. Resolve material route/access conflicts before publication and repeat changing notices near the actual launch date; no exhaustive inventory or field survey is required. Jimmy explicitly approved the current initial nationwide guide for public launch on October 22. Continue routine corrections and state maintenance after publication.

    5. Mobile, enlarged text and assistive technology — Responsive, zoom and owner phone checks passed

Hosted browser checks passed at 320×568, 390×844, 844×390 and 768×1024 with no page-wide horizontal overflow. Verified Cookeville keyboard selection/nearby order, state and ride-length filtering, inline ride details, phone list/map switch, matching popup, Fit All, two-ride comparison and clearing, share-dialog fit/link, contact dialog and Escape dismissal/focus return. Native Chrome displayed 200% zoom (devicePixelRatio 2→4; CSS viewport 1920→960); city selection, guide and contact dialog remained usable. No console warnings/errors were recorded in the inspected hosted session. Jimmy has the staging link for physical-phone testing; native share and navigation-app handoff await that result. Screen-reader testing and an additional phone platform have not been performed. Jimmy subsequently confirmed everything seems to work on his phone. Screen-reader and additional-platform audits remain future maintenance, not claimed complete.

    6. Contact form delivery — Live-domain delivery verified

The contact test submitted from joyridersusa.com was accepted by Formspree, and Jimmy confirmed receipt in his main inbox on October 22. The earlier staging test also arrived. Optional email and required-message validation remain intact; neither test included personal details.

    7. USA hosting and domain cutover — Live; production checks passed

joyridersusa.com and www.joyridersusa.com serve the separate joy-riders-usa Pages release over HTTPS. HTTP upgrades to HTTPS; direct Central Park ride links work. All 27 deployed assets matched the release on both USA hosts. The temporary redirect to TN is disabled and retained for rollback. All 15 checked Tennessee production files match the unchanged baseline. Publication enables indexing on the main finder; the editorial tracker remains noindex. The USA-specific social image, title and descriptions were corrected and verified with Facebook, Twitter/X and LinkedIn crawler user-agent requests; actual platform caches were not inspected.

Research completion dates below remain unchanged. Tennessee stays separate.

Tony Knowles Coastal Trail / Kincaid Park

    Indian Bend Wash Greenbelt

Existing Chaparral south-lake guide represents a suitable greenbelt outing, so no duplicate added. City project page updated October 19 now explicitly keeps Vista del Camino McDowell–Roosevelt path closed until the end of October 2026. Full greenbelt through-ride remains deferred; the projected end date is not a reopening.

    Tanglefoot Trail

Added a bounded one-mile-maximum return from the library’s direct bicycle access, supported by current library and municipal invitations plus manager access/rules. The course avoids the downtown Main Street bridge and stops before the first bridge or crossing. Earlier bridge procurement and Pontotoc work evidence does not establish this small New Albany approach is closed, and no selected-section closure was identified. This is a source-based initial guide, not an owner-confirmed full-corridor reopening or field inspection. Full Ecru–Ingomar route, remaining bridge/surface work chainages and library expansion impacts remain routine maintenance items; a June Pontotoc reopening is not completion of every project.

    San Antonio Mission Reach

Added a bounded one-mile-maximum same-bank return north from Padre Park, ending before VFW Boulevard or the first river bridge. Current county park listing, TPWD parking directions, inspected River Authority bike-path map and its current closure notice support this distinct course. The three named closure areas lie outside this selected section. This is a map/source-based inference, not an explicit owner inspection or guarantee of a fully open corridor. Roosevelt Park northward was not used because it extends into the separately named Eagleland section. Closures near Concepción Park, Mission San Juan and Mission Espada remain active; stem-density work was previously advertised into early 2027. The Graf Road–Espada proposal remains deferred, and longer through-rides need fresh work-area checks.
