Start: Landsdown Trail — Clinton designated trail stalls, 11 West Main Street, Clinton, New Jersey. Retained June 2026 county brochure limits north-arrival trail parking to two designated stalls along former Global Ag. Use only these signed trail spaces; do not infer whole Fox Lumber commercial lot permission from tourism text. If occupied/blocked, postpone rather than use unsanctioned roadside or loading areas. Walk approach clear of commercial vehicles. Use designated ordinary visitor spaces, respect reserved spaces and walk through the lot to the signed main path. The address identifies a public facility, not a surveyed stall.

Ride: Follow the signed main path south along the improved former-rail Landsdown main trail. Turn after 1 outward mile or before the first public-road crossing, work barrier, uncertain continuation or uncomfortable transition, whichever comes first; retrace. Walk any initial lot or access-drive interface. Do not use a road or private-property detour.

Distance: Chosen 2-mile maximum return, not the full regional corridor or a surveyed parking-to-parking distance. Earlier interfaces shorten the outing; parking walking is extra.

Permission and effort: Source-backed ordinary bicycle use on the designated improved main path; walking-only spurs and adjacent private property are excluded. Official Bike Hunterdon describes first 1.5 mile Landsdown component as smooth and easy, before rooty / rocky beginner MTBcontinuation. This shorter return stays within that improved rail component; no numerical maximum grade given.

Planning: Sunrise to sunset and posted trailhead terms. County trail admission free; no private commercial-lot entitlement. Group 15+permit rules are separate. Use designated trail stalls, pack out waste, keep pets leashed 6 feet and yield to others. No restrooms listed. Ordinary pedal bicycles; e-bike classes unverified. No Sidney Road field-edge or Lower Landsdown MTBextension shortcut.

Access reviewed October 20, 2026 Central (October 21 UTC): Fresh county facility identity and tourism body corroborate named trail. June 2026 county brochure supports ordinary bicycle use / two-stall arrangement; no fresh full-map pixels or actual parking occupancy claimed. Turn at 1 outward mile or earlier barrier / uncomfortable bridge. Do not continue across Lower Landsdown Road onto rougher Capoolong or assume its 12 mile combined ride is this trail. This is a dated source review, not a field inspection or current-day all-clear. Postpone for snow, ice, high water, soft tread or barriers rather than improvising a bypass.

Bring water and choose suitable weather. Parking walking is extra. No surveyed parking-space pin or navigable GPX is supplied.
