Bradley Woods — Bunns Lake paved loop — detailed guide
Source review: 2026-10-11. A dated source review does not guarantee current-day conditions.
A short 0.5-mile loop around Bunns Lake in Westlake, Ohio. The current manager map labels the lake loop as paved, and the 2026 route sheet designates it as a paved all-purpose trail. Ride one circuit, or repeat it if you want a little more distance. The half-mile figure covers the loop; the parking approach adds a small, unmeasured distance.
Enter Bradley Woods from Bradley Road via White Oak Lane. Use the public park parking nearest the Bunns Lake trailhead, north of the lake, as shown on the manager’s February 2025 map. Walk your bicycle through the parking approach and short connector to the loop; the generic trailhead page promotes hiking rather than specifically describing cycling access. Follow the blue lake loop on the map. Quarry, Cahoon Creek and Pin Oak are separate natural trails and are outside this ride.
The manager’s accessible-route list identifies Bunns Lake among paved routes with flat or modest slopes, generally 5% or less. That general indexed description is not a surveyed maximum slope for the loop. Expect a short shared path with people watching wildlife; slow down at bends and pass only when there is room. No public-road crossing is shown on the selected lake circuit. The separate roadside all-purpose trail is not needed.
Park hours are 6 a.m.–11 p.m., subject to posted restrictions; daylight is preferable. Parking or trail fee status is unconfirmed in the reviewed pages. The nearby Codrington picnic area lists restrooms and parking, but restroom opening and seasonal availability remain unverified. Shelter reservation terms are separate from ordinary trail use. The lake is no longer stocked for fishing.
Evidence checked October 11, 2026: the current reservation, lake, trailhead, picnic-area, rules and closure pages; both pages of the 2026 route sheet; and the whole February 2025 map. No Bradley Woods-specific closure was identified in the reviewed alert page. Recheck notices and posted parking/access terms before publication or a visit. The accessibility description came from the primary search index because direct retrieval was blocked.
