Distance: Chosen maximum two-mile return, not the entire 4.9-mile City Trail or 3.5-mile park pavement scope. Actual distance may be shorter.

Permission and effort: The state expressly lists City Trail for bicycles. The owner labels City Trail accessible. This is qualitative evidence of a manageable improved path, not a numerical slope survey; expect small approach rises and walk an uncomfortable transition.

Planning: Park 5 a.m.–10 p.m.; choose daylight. Valid vehicle pass required. Published fee tables differ; pay the posted rate. Yield to walkers, keep pets leashed and stay outside posted hunting areas. Check device-specific signs before using an e-bike.

Access reviewed October 20, 2026 Central (October 21 UTC): The current park page posts the Seven Lakes–Boyd connecting trail closed from October 15 until further notice for bridge repairs. This supersedes treating the earlier October 12–16 forecast as a reopening. The selected northward park outing excludes that southern connection; all new barriers govern. Boating and marina closures are separate. Snow, ice and seasonal facilities remain local checks.

Bring water and choose suitable weather. Parking walking is extra. No surveyed parking-space pin or navigable GPX is supplied.
